I’ve been longing for something for so long Something that I have been wishing for all along It seems like it will never come true Because these dreams rarely ever do I’ve learned to lose hope in what could happen Because I know that all that hoping has done nothing since then But please listen to me if you are wishing for something to occur Don’t give up yet, it is worth fighting for Just because you haven’t seen it come about Doesn’t mean you should feel doubt Maybe the time is not right for you to see All that God has in store for you to be Even though dreams seem to fail at coming true Doesn’t mean that we should not pursue Sometimes the eager hoping gets us through the hard days Even though the plans we made go in disarray Dreaming and wishing for what lies ahead gives us anticipation Even if it only may occur in our imagination
