This Will Pass
He doesn't think that he can last another day,
All he wants to do is fade away.
Because this world grows darker than anything he's ever seen,
And he's finding it so hard to just believe.
He just wishes that there as a sign that he can move on,
Because he feels like he keeps on falling apart.
How can someone move past the past when it is bearing down on them?
How can someone forget their mistakes when that's all there is?
He needs someone to teach him how to let go of the past,
Because all of this pain will one day pass.
He doesn't have to do everything alone,
He needs someone to show him that he was never alone.
We all go through times when the moonlight illuminates our failures,
And it feels like the sun may never truly return.
The clouds of doubt move in and rain pours down upon us like an ocean.
We are either being drowned or cleansed.
We are either being destroyed or saved.
This is when we must make our choice.
We can either be beaten down by pain or dance in the rain.
We have to hold onto the faith that this is going to pass.
It may not be so bright now but the sun will rise again.
So when you are in your darkest moments remember that we all face doubt,
But that doesn't mean that you have to let it hold you down.
It may hurt sometimes but all scars heal with time,
Remember that if you need a friend I am right here by your side.
