Will We Ever

Wed, 12/26/2012 - 17:26 -- kamrynk

she wears my heartstrings on her ring finger
as a promise of something we could be
leaving them uncut while she thinks of him
falling for her has left bruises on my knees

beautiful mind paired with passionate soul
simple secrets spoken between our lips
she has created a feeling of being home
just when i was forgetting what home is

complicated cadences connect our chords
piercing blue glances leaving me bare
the softest of touches
leave me gasping for air

enveloping embraces bring relief
fingers intertwined at our side
holding fast and holding tight
patiently waiting for time
