Will You Take That Laying Down?

How am I supposed to wake up

And face another day

When the night is so appealing

And beckons me to stay

When the light is so unforgiving

That it forces me away

How am I supposed to stand up

And face another day

When the ground is so welcoming

Allowing my body to lay

When rising is so unnecessary

Cause I'll be forced down anyway

How am I supposed to move forward

And face another day

When the past is so comforting

Cause there's no price to pay

When the unknown isn't so threatening

Cause I've already seen the plays

How am I supposed to exist

And face another day

When forced emotion is so haggard

And I'm just moving through the haze

When nothingness is so comforting

That I may willingly obey
