The Willie Lynch Letter

There isn't a cheat code to life its a privilege, not a right Some people can't read its a privilege for me to write so many people face time And in prison you can't Skype Black on black is the reason Statistics we can't fight We kill ourselves so the jails are filled wit the Willie lynches Bars on a white canvas Couldn't paint a better picture Luke 6 31 I couldn't quote a better scripture croc gets the praise though the brown is the better liquor Ha .. Think about It ain't no way around We drowning And we trying to come up But we surrounded The struggles that we have because color become compounded No matter what your position Obama is even doubted So ... how does that make you feel? I ain't a shrink though But im pretty sure that it makes you're confidence Shrink though to them we become useless unless you can make a free throw We can make a profit if he can rhyme to a beat though And us We fall right into the trap The drug trade is a trap And us niggas are just the rats The scientists behind it all Are the ones that invented crack But losing our lives for it We the ones invented that So the question I propose Is how do you get it back When the ones that can change it are more concerned wit a rack They spend there time talking bout backs instead of renewing the blacks If we could all come together they cant Willie lynch... that See, Money changes men But I’m a man of my word and word is I’m colder then homeless up on the curb The homeless that hear my word decide to get off the curb Cause I profess That chasing your dreams isn't absurd And reaching them isn't unheard of My pastor taught me that even a sinner deserves love So who am I to judge um And who are you to judge me? only GOD can and he covers me like a snuggie He gave me a brain to fill And I’m filling it like a buggie I’m grooming it like a hubby Dedication gives me satisfaction If you don't love it I’m following the footsteps of no man A nomad I made my own pattern, no clothing That's why they sew mad But I wouldn't of made it without a pen and a notepad My writing is on college But I’m trying to make it post grad Trying to power forward So I got to make dis post pass I’m all about progression and effort will equal growth man I’m steady getting better I'm on a positive slope man Its hard to get noticed When you spit positive quotes damn You got Lupe's that's paving the way But its COMMEN sense to call her b**ch If that’s how you gone get paid its natural not to be TALIB If you just trying to get laid And MOS DEF you got to kill people Just to get praise And if not you erased from the mainstream era If you know you’re history its called the Willie lynch letter.
