Willow

Loving him was contagious

It grew like a seed of a willow tree

Somewhere deep inside my beating heart

Time passed

days went by

and the seed grew

Branches spreading down to my fingertips

Leaves unfolding in my brain

It spread like a forest fire

No matter how hard I tried to cut the tree growing inside of me

The damage had been done

And I loved him all over
