The Willow Tree

The Willow Tree sways back and forth As she takes a seat on the grass Taking a deep breath, She takes in her surroundings The seasons are ever changing As summer bids the world adieu She enjoys the warmth of the sun And the gentles of the wind That tangles with her hair She looks up to the clear blue sky And absorbs the beautiful sight one last time Standing up, she realizes she’s late And takes off running towards home Even though people will come and go, The Willow Tree will always be here, Ever changing to the flow of the seasons, As her shelter from the world And all its troubles
