Wilted Grace
A flower floating softly upon wilted grace
Reaching out for better times
Or maybe spring's warm embrace
Wondering why the air breathes better in the summer
Holding on through thunderstorms when they swore they'd be together
Waking up out of place
Resting on the wilted grace
Gravity pulled them close together
Wind whispering secrets of forever
Summer breeze and winter's grasp
Putting storms into the past
Wandering in forests full
To find the one they'd been searching for
From the first moment the voices rang into the air
The bells did chime and doves flew everywhere
Fireworks were not required
Flower petals stem desire
Bringing calm winds to the shore
Distance breaking into wolves
Silence screaming at the water
Flower petals that need not wander
Resting now on wilted grace
Thinking of forgotten chase
Knowing gentle breezes will follow
Flower petals reach out for tomorrow
Spring and summer together at last
And wilted grace carving a path
No one need know the whispers of the wind
Breaking far past mortal sin
Spring and summer forever once more
Songs playing in encores
Warm embraces happy now
Rain not falling from the clouds
And winter will come again
But forever means this will never end
Wishes traded for true bliss
Flower petals discarding emptiness
Souls reuniting and never again
Will they need to search again
Flower petals floating on a lake
Say goodbye to wilted grace
And all in all there was one more
Forever whispers on the shore
Breaking into blissful sleep
Soul and soul yours to keep
Waiting for the turning tides
Recollecting past bitter eyes
But no more of hate for hate
Bells ring once more
Don't be afraid
Open the gate
