Like the wind

Like wind blowing my golden blonde hair away from my face; I breathe in deep so much to embrace. The warmth I feel from the sun gleaming so bright; penetrates my skin, warming me deeply from daylight. The loudness of the ocean as the waves crash into the rocks causing corruption; speaking ever so loudly, yet settling before another eruption. The love I feel I am surrounded with from family and friends; calms me and comforts me, it is everlasting and never ends. The knowledge I have and what I have yet to learn; is like a journey for which I yearn. Words that are spoken some easy to grasp; yet others leave me pining, so the harder I gasp. It’s a gift that’s reopened every time its recited; line by line, verse by verse, poetically delighted. Rhyming with reason or staggering words; there is a beauty of those witty words. Impressionable beyond belief; speaking loosely of life, love and grief. Words that are spoken so dramatically touching and deep to the core; passionately, intimately making me always long for more. It’s an art to be so creative with words that have a language all its own; whether alliteration, ballad, or onomatopoeia these are examples of how its shown. Contemporary or classic, it's all a great read; poets have all done a great deed. Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman too; great poets are those who entice you. Whether controversial or obscene or Pulitzer prize winners; I, myself like poetry for beginners. To me its great so much to embrace; it brings me to that magical place. The penetration of sound the height of the tone; how it peaks, calms and comforts every bone. The love and knowledge and the gift it gives; deep inside my soul is where it lives. The beauty, the grace, the unspeakable place; the impression, the art, how creative the chase. The words, be obscene or dazzled with grace; for me poetry will always have a place. I enjoy reading and reciting poems you see; that’s what poetry means to me.
