Wind

Pray for a wall and that wall would block it.

Pray for two walls and it funnels through.

So bitter no good Thing dare concoct it.

So cold it turns my fingers blue.

Take your fear of something unknown.

Take your inclination to stay in bed.

You’ll get this place that I am in right now.

You’ll see that it’s not all in my head.

I’ve never dealt with winds so high.

I’ve never been bare in a place like this.

It leaves me with eyes that are not dry.

It leaves me to seek refuge in my abyss.

In my bed, the wind can’t reach me.

In my bed, outside doesn’t exist.

I close my eyes and there is nothing.

I close my eyes and the wind desists.
