The Wind Beneath My Feet

The wind beneath my feet

It’d carry me away

And give me all the strength I need

To chase another day

The wind through which I’d run

I’d fight to carry on

Relentless running through the fog

And toward a blazing sun

The wind from which I’d fly

It’d help me break from this war

And bring me high above the clouds

The skies to which I’d soar

The wind I ought to claim as mine

The crimes I’m forced to meet

Imagine all the birds I’d free

With wind beneath my feet
