The Window
I blur out the window
So that I can no longer see the world
I must fight off these demons
Because the fiber of my being is becoming unfurled
I fog up the window
With hot breath of complaint
I may be swallowed by the devils
But that might just be my fate
I frost the window
With ice-crested tears
The spider-webbing chill
Removes every inch of clear
Is the window mocking me?
With the weather changes comes sensitivity
Is the window stopping me
From all the wonders I wish to see?
My judgment is clouded, even on sunny days
And as I fumble to wipe insecurities away
They resurface like the tides
And muddy up my head
But my life is surging
Like the short existence of molten lead
And this forever pulse is leading to my death
The liquid glass of the window
Can be shattered along with my dreams
But they're not always what they seem
And I must clean the window
To keep a grip on my sanity
