Windows
There are trees outside my window
But I’ve never seen them before
I only see the monitor as I type
And the blinds, protecting me
Sheltering me
A screen, filtering the pollens of the air
In case I decide to lift the glass
No chance of that.
I’ll just sit inside my window
Blinds Shut,
Window Shut,
Screen Shut.
It could be raining
Or snowing
Or the most perfect day I’ve ever seen.
I’ll never know.
