Windows and Widows

Windows and Widows

Does the orphan child have a name?

Does the widow know she was once a bride?

Does God know I exist?

In this World we create, as if there is no consequence

A widow we make

Where there is bondservant

Tomorrow we take the master

When there is no bride for the groom

There is no groom

Blind eye for matching tooth

The grinding of the wheel turns and there is no loom

No thread bearing needle

Without clothes aren’t we but naked

Without food starving

Without God nothing

When we take ourselves and gaze upon ourselves?

Will we see as God does?

Or will we see as the mad King

God of oblivion

Caster of shadows

Deceiver of Nations

Father of lies

Destroyer

Will the cock crow thrice and we be counted?

And counted to where?

Will we be like Peter?

Or will we be like Daniel?

Will we be with the Lion,

And the Lamb?

Will the Son of God be our rest?

Will we bear our own iniquity?

Will you hear me, now?

Does God know we exist?

In existence is God

God is existence

Embrace him we must

For when we are laid low down and in pieces

Who picks them up

Who tills the field when we cannot?

Does not the fool get cast aside for when they cannot bear?

Do we deserve it?

When we are but children and we can feel the very presence of God

When we are adults, are we still not but children to God

What is eternity, but a fleeting moment in the eyes of God

When some second passes to us

To God, many years follow

Is it gold you seek?

Does fortune favor the wise?

Do the wicked take that which belongs not to them?

Is there justice in the end?

Does it hurt to die?

Surrounded in the valley are lily’s you say

Do they look beautiful like you?

Or do they wither and die like me?

I am but a fisherman, lost at the heavenly sea

With no lighthouse

No mooring lines

Wishing for even a deserted plane

Anything but the drowning that is to come

Will I burn in hellfire?

Will I be redeemed?

Did I not seek first the Kingdom of God?

Did I not do a respectable job?

Did they listen?

Did they hear?

Are they coming with me?

Is it the depths of the abyss?

Or the mire of fog

Maybe it’s the light of the Lord our God

I think I see it coming on the horizon

I think I see God’s bliss
