The Windows Are Open

My heads hangs out of the picture frame As my eyes look up into a bright abyss. They say that you live in the clouds watching over life. I feel a brittle wind on my cheek and quickly retreat back into my dungeon. I breathe hate and look up into the blinding light. My eyes filled with the water that I was never saved in. I looked up to the light for hope, Nothing. My eyes become like glass windows placed in your prayer. The laying of hands burn my skin like frozen rain from your eyes. Now, I see trees. Rigid ballerinas in your hand. But not me. Never me. I watch. But O Christ, Why don’t you answer me? The windows are opened.

Don't freak out about the one star. I don't know how exactly the system works, but if you want some feedback, here is some. I see several symbols in the poem: at first it sounds like you're hanging out of a car window, and then as if you're in a church service or inside the story of Jesus healing a blind man, and finally that line "the windows are open" somehow gets to me. Throughout the poem I felt like I was on the verge of grasping something beautiful, but I couldn't. I would encourage you to be clear. You seem to have a sense of symbolism, but at least I can't follow everywhere your mind goes. For a good example of how to do this, I liked the poem "Shadows." I don't know who wrote it, but it's somewhere in this challenge.
