Windy

mama tucks me in and I ask her when I can go outside again

she took me out of school when I told her the kids called my by a new nickname

and I asked her for the first time what schizophrenia meant

When she asked me what I wanted to be when I was older I told her a lost boy

cause they never grow up

she told me that my stories of NeverLand where getting out of control

and said to leave my pixie dust covered dreams and the lost boys behind me

but when the shadows returned that night they taught me how to fly

When I told mama I flew through the backyard sha said flying only happens in fairly tales

mama made me close my window

the second star dosnt call my name

I have forgotten the sound of childrens laughter

sword fights and mermaids dont excite me anymore

the jingle in my ear has disappeared

and thats when I realized

I'd grown up
