Wingless Angel

Stuck with the cast, still gives a helping hand Quivering as a outcast, can't get out of the quicksand Offers hope but feels hopeless Offers happiness but feels helpless The more of the steps taken The deeper the knife is driven Trembling at the sight of it Mortified to move with it leering Petrified of peeking at the pit His hairs rise with his heart withering It can be painted over with a vibrant paintbrush The more the brush covers the more he yearns for it's touch The relief is smeared across his face As he admires the taste Knowing it is temporary He shivers as if it is Doomsday Life isn't fair to anyone he had to learn the hard way Hides because of what he has to pay He can't see what has been portrayed
