Wings

I have emerged My white quills extend past my arms by meters I have been given the ability to lift myself and soar No longer will I cast this dark shadow over myself I am still Human I am no Angel I have no powers None but the ability to escape I will take myself by the warm drafts of the crisp wind into a new world A World where I can go and truly set myself free My ever-changing path is guided by the faith no longer concealed within my core It will be the only compass that leads me to the action of living
