Wings

Years…

You’ve clipped them.

You’ve tried to keep me.

Its’ time to let me go.

Let go.

You still try to keep me.

I still have them

But

I just don’t know how to use them.

I still try.

You still get mad when I do.

Yet,

I jumped

I couldn’t use them.

You never allowed me to.

I fell.

You helped me up

But,

You still wouldn’t let me go

I jumped again.

This time I soared.
