Wings are Chains

I’d like to think I have a place for wings

For all who fly

For all of hope

Rather than a base for chains For all who fall

For all of hate

They can’t be seen, wings and chains

And so the future remains unknown

But I’d like to think I have a place for wings

Because I’m afraid to fall.
