Wings To Fly

They promise me freedom but I all I got was chains. So I tried to break from these chains But I got slain. They say freedom is like a bird So I tried to fly like a bird But what is the point if I have no wings to fly? The answer to this question is: action The action of trying. No matter how many times you get beaten down No matter how many times you get oppressed No one can suppress the freedom of words And it is these words in the spirit of freedom That will give me wings to fly.
