winter
i love winter.
not because the leaves wither away
and the frost starts to spread
i love winter because it brings me closer to you.
i don't know who you are
but there is this hope inside of me -
a soft candle with notes of white cedar and orange
warms me on these chilly nights -
it keeps alive the hope that, one day, our paths will
collide underneath the wintry moon
and i'll reveal to you what winter means to me:
hearth, kinship, and a
connectivity that melts away all troubles
then i'll ask what winter means to you
and the answer will determine our future
- hopeless dreamer
