Winter

Winter is a season 

So cold with a reason

Snow sparkles magically

The cold wind bites your cheek

Everyone goes sledding near a frozen creek

A child falls off their sled 

The child laughs casually

Twilight is arriving 

Everyone goes home

The fire in the fireplace is bright

Children drink hot cocoa with delight 

After all this is a peaceful winter night

This beautiful night ends tonight

Everyone goes to bed
