Winter
A land graced only by nature’s lace
Last spring’s flowers now long-gone
Snow erasing every shoe-brought pace
Grazing a withered-up dying lawn
Last spring’s flowers now long-gone
Sun shines down upon a ground unbrushed
Grazing a withered-up dying lawn
Nature sleeping, sweetly hushed
Sun shines down upon a ground unbrushed
Snow picks up; it falls and falls
Nature sleeping, sweetly hushed
A faint, airy whisper calls
Snow picks up; it falls and falls
As nature puts off spring’s rebirth
A faint, airy whisper calls
A blanket tucks in the entire Earth
As nature puts off spring’s rebirth
Frozen windows share a lovely scene
A blanket tucks in the entire Earth
All that’s left is evergreen
Frozen windows share a lovely scene
Not a single soul in sight
All that’s left is evergreen
White wolves howl; day loses its light
Not a single soul in sight
Snow erasing every shoe-brought pace
White wolves howl; day loses its light
A land graced only by nature’s lace
