Winter

Winter

Looking up at the sky,
And all I see
Is beautiful white snowflakes
Falling around me.

As I stand in the snow
Bundled up and yet I feel free
And my friends run around
Singing songs of Christmas glee

With all the reds, and the greens, and the white lights that shine
Merry couples, they laugh, as on skates they whiz by

Down the street all the children stack neat heaps of snow
Building soft smiling snowmen keeping warm in the cold

Christmas lights, shining bright
Under the snow through the night
Making white seems as colors, red and green flashing lights

Looking up at the sky
And all I can feel
Are cold piles of snow,
Beneath my icy feet

There’s soup inside
It’s hot and rich
I’m cold and it’s calling for me.
Feeling the breeze
While I watch the trees,
Thinking soon I’ll be warm
Like a mid-summer night’s dream.

Looking up at the sky,
And all I see
Is beautiful white snowflakes
Falling around me.
