winter


and as the leaves fell from my tree, i couldn't help but wonder why i had to see they danced, they dove, those precious things, till they were swept away in a vicious breeze. and as i stared, i knew what this meant: they would not return, though they were heaven-sent. and as the last one finished its fall i think that i looked awfully small.
