Winter Creatures

Tue, 10/01/2013 - 21:33 -- Oceana

The weather is so cold outside

It turns my breath to frost.

The pine trees are so dense outside

I hope I do not get lost.

To be lost out in the Winter weather

Would surely be a shame

And to be lost out in the forest

Would surely be the same.

For you will be found by something

That is not so pleasant

And to this something, your bloodshed will be

A magnificently tasty present.

It will snap your bones in half

Your blood will spatter snow

It will see your face and laugh

Because you did not know

That the Winter Creatures live

Not so far away from us

In a world of pine and snow alike

It is these words you should trust:

They can smell your hopelessness

And your speedy circulation

Through your tasty arteries

It is quite a speculation

To see you are gasping on the ground

Grasping your intestines

To see you are drowning in your own life

To see you learn your lesson.

Never travel alone, my friends

In the Winter forest

For if you heed my true advice,

You will surely thank me for it.

I am sorry for those who did not listen

And chose another path

Because they were the ones who suffered most

And all I can do now is laugh.

I'm really hoping this poem isn't too obscene because I was a little hesitant about

posting this poem. I promise I'm actually really bubbly. I just have an attraction to the

darker, twisted sides of life. They hold promise. Be honest about your opinions.
