Winter is good enough for me

Dream, hope and wander Always leave me to ponder About the days When I finally get out of this maze I sometimes lose my way And laziness always likes to come say Hey! It’s like I get all up in a haze And stuck in a brand new craze But then routine strikes And brings back all the lights To begin to save me again And put me on the mend It gets really hard When running is my guard From being dragged back To habits that make me want to slack But I run around This whole town To get back on track And study the fact That summer rots my brain And usually keeps me chain To old habits Who are as fast as rabbits To come back to me When I just become free Of that prison I have risen With good old routine That makes others go into mourning But not me So I need to stay free Of TV And summer Where I just want to slumber But if I do Then I assure you I will never wake And begin to take My place in this world And move forward With my life So you see Winter is good enough for me
