Winter Moon
Then moon is looking beautiful tonight,
as if he has a smile upon his face.
The contours of his features, she can trace,
illumined by a gentle milky light.
He gazes like a sympathetic friend
as snowflakes drift like whispers to the ground,
enrobed in velvet whiteness all around.
Serenity seems softly, to transcend.
She thinks of everything that he has seen
and how he stays so tranquil and composed,
protecting mystic secrets undisclosed,
behind his subtle incandescent sheen.
At last, she breaths a faint contented sigh,
still peering through her window’s icy glass
Beyond her view, the moon will shortly pass,
as he continues sailing through the sky.
