Winter Roads

Winter roads lead white and cold,

Towards a whole new, exciting world,

One where winter never sleeps,

And the weeping willows always weep.

The snow drifts stand still and tall,

And the schools are out for fear of falls.

The ice that comes whilst we sleep,

Blankets the roads in deadly silence,

Keeping us from our tireless work,

But the roads of winter always lead,

Towards the center of the city of dreams.

For when we lay our heads to sleep,

Our dreams will be of snow to keep.

The winter roads stay white and pale,

Leading away from our daily jail.

That daily jail we call our lives,

And lead us to another, more happy time.
