Winter Snow

From grey heights the snow comes falling Glowing white like silken lace. It hugs the ground without disgrace, How pure and soft the timing. Unobserved until clear skies The builders come with wondrous eyes. They shape the snow for their devices Clothing it in new disguises. Then comes the night so bitterly, Hardening the fluff to ice. The pressured tracks of man Cut out the heart of white, Black and brown infest The wind sweeps up the rest Then… Silence. The sun comes up, I smile. The snow, it leaves in ordered file. How pure and soft the timing.
