Winter Solstice

the moon beams down on the faded concrete and i think her and i are the only two still awake. snow floats down, dancing to a lilting melody i haven't learned to hear yet or perhaps, just haven't listened close enough to tell it's there. my nose is redder than your cheeks when i told you i loved you yet the snow is still not as bright as the dress you will wear on the day you tell me that you love me forever
