Winter, Summer, and the Sun

Winter is a long night, a slow death

The ending of Summer’s breath

Two seasons does there exist

The combination is where their influences kissed

They fight for the right to control the sun

One revels in its light, while the other would rather it run

Across the globe do they give chase

Continually hiding or chasing light’s grace

The human peoples do not despair

For Winter gives their crops time to rest

While Summer allows for the bountiful harvest

They are an advantageous pair
