Winter Wonder

A season of sparkling bright snow and ice.

Bitter cold, rushing winds, and spreading white.

Through still air icicles quietly slice.

Shattering against ground, ending their flight.

Some hibernate throughout winter’s cold reign.

Others prefer to enjoy its beauty.

Taking in the sights of winter’s domain.

Or preserving it if be their duty.

Delicate snowflakes fall from the dark sky.

Swirling through the quiet winter’s twilight.

Their intricate designs stubbornly shy.

Yet it fills us with unrivaled delight.

All of these qualities come together.

Making a beautiful winter wonder.
