Winter Wonders

Standing outside in the harsh winter winds

Playful as the snowflakes may seem,

Beneath lies a solemn reality.

What once was laugh and play,

Is now work and energy wasted

Like a flip of a switch in the dead of night

It is time to retire the sleds and laughs

And hand them over for yearly work that never seems to end
