The Wire

Sun, 12/22/2013 - 20:25 -- gmstern

Love travels through the wire,

Making way to each person in need

Of shelter

Warmth burns within as you reach out

And feel each other’s pain

Nestled between the beauty and the comfort

Of the knowing that you are no longer

Alone

People feel your pain through their own veins,

Hear your cries that the wind’s sorrow brings,

Shields you from the tears

That cloud your view,

Ready to reveal the fire inside you

It pushes past the cliffs of insanity,

Carries you out of the crowds,

Feeds you the strength you’ve been dreaming for,

And leads you to the

Shelter

You’ve been pleading for

All in the process of returning love

At the other end

Of the Wire
