Wise frog

The water rushes, crisp and free

a frog jumps in

he must be so cold I think

I am not wet with a coat, and I shiver

here I am feeling bad for him

I wish he had something to keep him warm

I wish he had what I had

how does he live like that I wonder

but I am so naive

he knows so much more than I do

he jumped in, nobody pushed him

look at me standing here

not wet, with a coat and shivering

so pathetic

so I take off my coat

and I jump in

the frog was right!

I am cold now

but this was my choice
