Wish for Courage

Dear J,

Do you remember when we met?

I do

You were tall, skinny, and your hair was styled like Beiber’s

Never did I imagine that I would still like you

I have used every fallen eyelash, dandelion fuzz, and shooting star

On wishes

Wishes to have courage

You have this affect on me that I cannot tell if I love it or loathe it

I feel weak, yet I feel strong

There are so many things that pull me towards you

Your kindness, humor, compassion, and unexpecting nerdiness

I just want courage

Courage to tell you how I feel

But my cowardice will keep you from ever seeing this letter

Maybe, just maybe I can have courage

Sincerely, Me
