A Wish A Prince's Heart Makes
God, she was beautiful.
I don't mean beauty in a way where her hair was pinned to the sky
Or there were 10 thousand hues surrounding her eyes
Just to catch mine.
I refer to the beauty of a cherry blossom tree
When the sun hits it at the prime degree.
An ethereal divinity
Only capable of evoking serenity
In the the heart of a lonely bachelor like me.
So natural.
God, she was surreal.
Father wants me to marry high even though my soul wants to connect with something real no matter if resources are low.
With a soul, mind and heart of perfection to complete my life's trifecta
That is the being of a king.
I want a queen,
Not a puppet to follow behind me into battle when what I really search for is peace.
I need her.
So fiercely,
God, I need her.
With eyes that could read me better than the land's most gifted Gypsy.
One dance with no words and an infinity of sensations as my hand pressed against hers
Leading me to envision life with my sun-kissed cherry blossom, queen.
Life as a true king
Seems as clear as the shoe she left behind on the third stair from the top...
I counted.
Every step away from me was an arrow to my shot of happiness,
But every minute here until the moment I meet her gaze once more is a step towards destiny.
I have to find her,
Immediately.
God, I have to find her.
