Wishes
I wish what I wished before but harder
With greater passion and conviction
throwing my soul into the black abyss
Its not just wishes now
it’s a hope, dream, a religion
I want it so bad I can taste it.
Grasping for it as a mere paper scrap
caught in the mighty eye of a tornado
trying to escape, desperately.
Knuckle’s turning white from holding on
Knees becoming shaky and weak
Fatigue creeps in like Alzheimer’s on a fresh brain
Tears pour from these eyes profusely,
slowly but surely drowning me
I gasp for air in a vacuum.
I am surrounded,
I am confused,
I am dying.
