Wishes

I wish I could touch you,

to feel you beneath my grip

I wish I could hold you,

so tight that you can't slip

away

I wish I could look at you

stare into your eyes

I wish I could feel you

while you wail away with weak cries

I wish I could hurt you,

after what you'd done to me

I wish I could bury you,

wash you away and look on with glee

I wish I could undo the hurt

and pain you left behind

but most of all,

I just wish

you weren't on my mind
