Wishful Thinking

Growing up is what I fear

There's just so much to prepare for

Just want to get out of here

Back to the days when I was four.

Here's a secret, something no one knows

I still believe I'll wake up one day

Back in kindergarten, heart not hardened

Where all I have to do is play.

Call me dillusional, say I'm just in denial

But I know I'll wake up one morning

With that honest kid smile.

First poem. Pretty sure it's incorrect, but it does express my inner thoughts.
