Wishful Thinking

I have no doubt that you mean well

But I have a hard time hearing over the swell

From your capricious attitude

Which you don't seem to understand the magnitude

Of how it barrages me from all sides

Ripping me up until I'm taken out with the tide

And you keep saying you're sorry

However, I think you're deaf to my outcries

Yet I hope and pray you'll start believing

But that's just wishful thinking
