Wishing

Wishing for the day

I hear you say

I LOVE YOU

Wishing for the day

To hear you say

That you are here to stay

Wishing for the day

You say…. Marry Me

Wishing for the moment

When you knock at the door

Open it up and it’s you

Standing there with a ring

And rose

Wishing for the day

To be back in your strong arms

Wishing for the day

For us to be a happy family again

But that day is not today

I’m still here—alone

Hoping, praying, and still

Wishing…..
