Wishing I Was There Again

Hello. People see me for a street rat. Some see me as a traitor. I guess they are right, If I don’t even know who I am. Hello. Trapped here in these walls. Destined to marry, not for love. Some may see the sass, Some may see the peasant girl. Hello. See my new “sister”? I show her the view at my place. I can’t stop thinking about her. And when she leaves, I didn’t even get her name. Hello. The boy in the court yard. He was so nice to me. And those eyes. Stupid law. Hello. Thinking about her and how she moves. Her lips must be soft as the clouds in the sky. Wishing I could find her again. Hello. Never able to find him again. Never able to see him again. Forced to marry, without love. Hello. With the stars in the sky And my dreams farther than I can reach them My one true love is somewhere over the walls.
