Wishing you well

They all say i look just like you
But not knowing you made me who i am today
I never really bothered to ask why you wouldn't stay
Whyd you turn your back?
Whyd you make it about you?
Why make all these broken promises?
If you knew you would never come thru.....For me.
I hope one day you see, that i did just fine without you
My GRAD DAY, PROM, COLLEGE, and alot of big things are coming up.
You missed all the little things,  and now im just about all grown up.
I used to let it bother me and then hide it away with a big smile
When honestly, truly I was hurt.... Mean while,
I love my stepdad. Hes been a true father figure.
He treated me like his own when you couldn't even deliver.
But its okay, every thing will be alright.
No need to dwell.
I believe that all things happen for a reason
So when I make it big I'll still wish you well.
