The Witch And Her Child

Once upon a time there was a lonely witch
Who wanted a child to teach and care for
So she used spells and magic to stitch
Her own little child for the witch to adore

She messed up the recipe (it was dark in her lair)
The old witch added way too much crystal
The little child had long growing hair!
But the witch felt she was perfect and named her Rapunzel

One day an old farmer saw the witch and her kid
It reminded him of his wife who wants a baby
He thought, the witch stole her, “I know she did”
So at night he took Rapunzel for his lady

The witch woke to see her girl was gone
So she said a spell and looked through her pot
The child was at a farm, so the witch pressed on
She found the farm in hope her child would be spot

The old witch confronted the thieving farmer
But he would not return the witch’s daughter
She cast a curse that could not be stopped by any armor
The farmer and his wife were turned into pigs for the slaughter

Little Rapunzel was safe and sound
The witch was happy she had her delicate flower
She thought of how to keep her child around
The answer, of course, is to lock her in a tower

So that is where our story ends
Because we already know what happens later
The witch tries to keep Rapunzel from having friends
Now Rapunzel and her prince hate her
