withered love.

along the store aisles my mind absorbs the different selections, accompanied by thoughts of you. aisle 6 with the pudding, that i dislike oh-so much-- pudding, it made me think of you. mindlessly tossing yogurt that i dare not eat into my cart-- vanilla is the only flavor i thought i liked, and i told you one day i liked another. "who are you?!?" and the teasing continued after kisses. we walk right past the string cheese that i don't know how to eat. and string by string my life continues to fall apart and patiently i watch it shred into nothing. i think i might go crazy so music tries to console me, distract me. but all of my music reminds me of you because our tastes are similar. and anything you dislike, i hear your smile when you say, "how mainstream" or "wayyy auto-tuned". flipping off the lights, unplugging the electrics, i don't know if i wanted to save a polar bear, or only to save us.
