Within the Eyes of the Beholder
Within the eyes of my peers,
The ones I have known throughout the years,
Have given me strength; have given me hope.
Without their presence, how could I cope?
Without their support, where would I be?
They aid me through any catastrophe.
I see in their eyes a deep motivation,
Which in turn aids my determination.
Those eyes that ignite my internal flame,
Have eliminated any qualm of blame.
Those eyes that inspire me to perform my best,
To land me ahead of all the rest.
If I were to lose their gaze, how could I live?
Who would be there to receive the gratitude I give?
Without them, I’d lose all inspiration,
I would lose faith and all aspiration.
Hopefully that time will never come,
For my life had only just begun.
