Within myself, I find myself

Day by day I've lived

Step by step I've walked,
Alone.
What would I have done without you,
Who would I have called,
Fallen.
Abused, battered, broken.
Reasons to not get up,
Rational.
Mornings tied down by sheets and blankets.
Not wanting to get up,
Depressed.
Feelings and emotions full,
Full of unforgotten memories,
Distracted.
What would I have done without you,
To get me through these mornings,
Confidence.
